Mark W. Millis

Mr. Millis is a graduate of the University of Houston with over thirty-eight years of experience in commercial and residential real estate acquisition, development, construction, brokerage and management. He currently serves as the Chairman and President of The Millis Group Inc., Millis Management Corporation, Royal Valley Utilities, Inc., Trinity Construction and Bethany Homes, Inc. In addition, The Millis Group, Inc. serves as the general partner for many different limited partnerships.

Mr. Millis began his career as an analyst for a major land acquisition company in the early seventies. In 1986, he was responsible for forming Duddlesten Realty Advisors, Inc. and served as Vice President and Managing Director until 1992. The corporation was formed to provide analytical, financial and marketing advice to institutional clients owning income producing real property. The corporation successfully marketed over 300 million dollars of REO property in a five year period.

In 1992, Mr. Millis formed Millis Management Corporation (MMC) to serve as the general partner and construction manager for many different projects to follow. Some of these projects included a 40,000 square foot office/warehouse development which was leased to 100% occupancy and sold in 1996, a Galveston beachfront subdivision entitled “Half Moon Beach” and an exclusive residential subdivision containing acreage home sites entitled “Shiloh Lake Estates”.

In 1995, Royal Lakes Limited was created to develop "Royal Lakes Estates", a master planned residential community on 329 acres near Booth, Texas. In addition, Mr. Millis formed the construction division and acquired the heavy equipment and personnel necessary to complete the construction of the development. In 1996, Mr. Millis formed The Millis Group, Inc. to serve as the flagship entity and exclusive marketing agent for the various developments in the Millis portfolio. In 2004, Mr. Millis formed TMG Engineering, Inc. to provide civil engineering services for future developments. TMG Engineering, Inc. was responsible for the conceptual land plan and the final development plan for a master planned community entitled "Kingdom Heights" that will contain approximately 1,447 new homes and 22 acres of retail and commercial development on 597 acres of land. Other projects developed by The Millis Group, Inc. have been a three-story office building in Sugar Land, Texas, 'Sovereign Shores Estates", "The Retreat" and "Royal Lakes Manor" which are all prestigious privately gated estate home communities in the Sugar Land area of Texas. Emerald Palms is a townhome project in Midtown Houston that was developed and sold out in 2015.

The newest ventures undertaken by The Millis Group, Inc. is the formation of Bethany Homes for the production of a very exclusive and uniquely different home with the trademarked "Goliath Garage" and the newly developed "Offices of Greatwood" which is a multi-story office condominium project in Sugar Land, Texas.

Mr. Millis is a licensed Real Estate Broker in the State of Texas and served on the State Bar of Texas Lawyer's Grievance Committee. He speaks Spanish fluently, is a commercial multi-engine and instrument rated aircraft pilot and serves on many different Boards for various corporations, and non-profit entities. He is a devout Christian and is very supportive of his wife, three children and four grandchildren.
