Laura Millis

Laura Millis began her career in the oil and gas industry in the early 1980’s. She later started a new career in real estate management as an employee of Duddlesten Management Corporation. She started as an administrative assistant and was promoted to an assistant property manager for several office buildings in the Galleria area. Subsequently, she was recruited by a New York office building acquisition firm to serve as the commercial property manager for a five building complex containing over 500,000 square feet in the Galleria area of Houston. She was responsible for the day-to-day operations and all new tenant build-out completion. Laura was very active in BOMA and IREM while completing her CPM and acquiring her real estate salesman license. Laura joined forces with her husband Mark Millis in 1992 when they formed Millis Management Corporation to acquire and manage REO properties for their personal portfolio. Laura serves an active role in the management affairs of The Millis Group, Inc. which is the development arm of the Millis Group of companies. In 1996, Laura formed a separate company entitled "Ultimate Impressions" for the purpose of providing design, furnishings and decorative accents not only to the Millis Group corporate projects but to a host of other clients as well. Laura is very accustomed to working with the end user for interior finish selections and works with the job superintendents to assure quality of construction on a timely basis. Additionally, Laura serves as the President of Bethany Homes, Inc., another member of the Millis Group of Companies. She has been very active in community affairs and served in various capacities on school function boards and civic committees. Aside from her career, Laura loves spending time with her husband, children and grandchildren. She also enjoys working with people, travel, water sports and offshore fishing.
