Laura Millis began her career in the oil and gas industry in the early 1980’s. She later started a new career in the field of real estate management as an employee of Duddlesten Management Corporation. She started as an administrative assistant and was promoted to an assistant property manager for several office buildings containing over 500,000 square feet. At a later date she was recruited by a New York office building acquisition firm to serve as the commercial property manager for a five building complex in the Galleria area of Houston. Laura was very active in BOMA and IREM while completing her CPM and acquiring her real estate salesman license. Laura joined forces with her husband Mark Millis in 1992 when they formed Millis Management Corporation to acquire and manage REO properties for their personal portfolio. Laura serves as an active voice in the management affairs of The Millis Group, Inc. which is the development arm of the Millis companies. She enjoys working with people and supporting her husband and four children.
